DJ J-Roc hails from Tampa Bay, FL. As a young man he was always very in tune to music and music trends. His older cousins DJ Chuck from Cleveland, Ohio and DJ Shorty from Tampa Bay introduced him to “djing” at the age of 14. It was the influence of these two men and the influence of other well-known DJs like DJ Shizm and DJ KD that has made him the DJ that he is today. More commonly known as Florida State University's #1 DJ and resident DJ, he has been mobile for three years now working with the likes of many organizations, artists, and DJs throughout Florida and abroad. He has also worked in radio with radio stations that include WVFS 89.7, WBWT 100.7, and there are many more to come. Known to all as "Mr. Roc-Da-Party" for his skills to keep a party Roc'ing his style is like none other that you have ever heard or seen before. His blending of hip-hop, R&B, Reggae, and dance/bass music make a toxic musical cocktail that everyone loves to hear. His djing influences include Uncle Al from Miami, DJ Screw from Houston, DJ Clue from New York, and all of the Rock-It-Rod DJs from Tampa Bay.
